| | | | | | | | A major objective of the 5th Framework Programme (FP5) of the European Commission (EC) is the cooperative approach to Research and Technological Development across Europe. The European National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) have a long tradition of providing the most advanced platforms for cooperative, transnational research, coupled with their dual function in supporting the academic and educational communi-ties. This was emphasized in the Feira European Council in which the eEurope initiative was formalized. |
